The Single-Family Rehabilitation Program (SFR06) provides funds to provide comprehensive rehabilitation of existing, moderately-deteriorated, single-family housing units owned and occupied by lower income elderly and disabled homeowners.

The goal of the program is to make a long-term positive impact on the state's stock of standard affordable housing. Program expenditures for reasonable costs of construction labor and materials and/or construction labor and materials and/or contractor costs may not exceed either $40,000 per dwelling unit or $40 per square foot. The minimum amount of Program funds that can be spent on any dwelling unit is $5,000.

The objective of the Single Family Rehabilitation Program are to serve elderly and disabled and disabled homeowners with incomes below 80% of area median and to provide the long-term affordability of assisted units through cost-effective energy efficiency measures.

DISLOCATION

Every attempt will be made to avoid temporary relocation of household occupants. Temporary relocation may be necessary as a result of rehabilitation work. Should brief relocations be necessary, the cost, if any, of the relocation will be the responsibility of the occupants.
