Children are provided with nutritious meals including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of their nutritional needs are provided. Health services include the provision of medical, dental, mental health and nutrition services to meet the individual needs of preschool children including children with special needs and disabilities.
At present, nine Head Start Centers have received five stars in the North Carolina Day Care Star Rated Program. |
| We are also pleased to announce that the Head Start program is currently utilizing an automated system used to measure learning accomplishments.
